Trans Lifeline

The Trans Lifeline is dedicated to the well-being of transgender people. It is primarily for transgender people experiencing a crisis, but they will speak to anyone needing someone to listen. It is run by transgender volunteers, and their goal is to prevent self harm. They connect trans individuals to services that meet their needs. Hours: vary each day, but open 7 days per week (see website for exact hours)

People call to talk about lots of things: substance abuse, economic worries, relationships, sexual identity, getting over abuse, depression, mental and physical illness, and loneliness, to name a few. No matter what problems you’re dealing with, whether or not you’re thinking about suicide, if you need someone to lean on for emotional support, call the Lifeline.
